Zoom Introduces AI Companion 3.0 to Advance Intelligent Work Orchestration

Intelligence: Zoom Communications launched AI Companion 3.0, expanding its AI-driven workplace platform with new automation, writing, and workflow features designed to make teams more productive and collaborative across the Zoom ecosystem.

• AI Companion 3.0 introduces “agentic AI” features aimed at turning conversations and meetings into actionable insights, documents, and follow-ups, available through a new web interface and soon in Zoom Docs.

• The platform uses Zoom’s federated AI model, combining its language models with those from OpenAI, Anthropic, and open-source models like NVIDIA Nemotron to improve accuracy in transcription, translation, and information retrieval.

• Users can access AI Companion via a web browser at ai.zoom.us or as a standalone product for $10 per month, signaling Zoom’s goal to make AI features available beyond paid enterprise plans.

• New features include agentic retrieval for data searches, post-meeting task generation, daily reflection summaries, and AI-assisted writing in a shared document environment.

• Zoom reinforced its commitment to privacy and responsible AI, stating that customer communications are encrypted and not used to train third-party or internal language models.

• Corporate partners such as Oracle, NVIDIA, and G42 highlighted the productivity and collaboration benefits of the new release, supporting Zoom’s shift from a meeting platform to an AI-first work orchestration company.

Intelligence: Adobe announced that Photoshop, Adobe Express, and Adobe Acrobat are now available directly inside ChatGPT, allowing users to create and edit images, designs, and documents through conversational prompts.

• The new integration brings Adobe’s top creative and productivity apps to ChatGPT’s 800 million weekly users, combining Adobe’s creative tools with ChatGPT’s conversational interface.

• Users can now type instructions like “Adobe Photoshop, help me blur the background of this image” to trigger contextual editing tools within the chat environment.

• Adobe apps for ChatGPT are powered by the company’s agentic AI and Model Context Protocol, the same foundation behind its recent launches, such as Acrobat Studio and AI Assistants for Photoshop and Adobe Express.

• Key app functions include image adjustments and effects in Photoshop, customizable templates and animations in Adobe Express, and full PDF editing, redaction, and conversion in Acrobat.

• The apps are free to all ChatGPT users on web, desktop, and iOS starting today, with Android access rolling out for Adobe Express immediately and for Photoshop and Acrobat soon after.
