Zendesk now has AI Agents for Support
π Wing Assistant for virtual support + π€ Samsung's recursive AI launch
Hi everyone,
Zendesk is diving into AI-driven support, which could really shake up customer service by making it smarter and more efficient.
Samsung's launch of recursive AI is pretty exciting and could mean big changes in how we interact with our devices.
Let's get right into it.

π€IN PARTNERSHIP WITH WING
Stop being the bottleneck
Every leader hits the same wall: too many priorities, not enough bandwidth. Wing clears that wall with a full-time virtual assistant who runs the drag layer so you lead, not chase.
Offload scheduling, inbox, follow-ups, vendor wrangles
Keep your stack, your process, your control
Scale scope as you scale revenue
This isnβt gig work. Itβs dedicated support that shows up every day and allows founders to delegate without losing control.

Shashi Upadhyay and Zendesk AI Overhaul
Intelligence: Zendesk unveiled a suite of LLM-driven agents aimed at automating most customer support, signaling a shift from human-led workflows to AI-led service.

Zendesk introduced an autonomous support agent designed to resolve about 80 percent of issues without humans, plus a copilot agent for the remaining cases, along with an admin layer agent, a voice-based agent, and an analytics agent.
Leadership frames this as a broader industry shift from software built for human users to systems where AI does most of the work, per President of Product Engineering and AI Shashi Upadhyay.
Independent testing suggests readiness for complex tasks, as TAU bench shows Claude Sonnet 4.5 solving 85 percent of issues in a product return scenario similar to support workflows.
The analytics agent is built on the Hyperarc acquisition completed in July, following earlier AI deals, including Klaus in February 2024 and Ultimate in March 2024.
Early customer pilots show consumer satisfaction rising by 5 to 10 points when using the new system.
If adopted at scale, the impact could be large, as Zendeskβs Resolution Platform serves nearly 20,000 customers and handles 4.6 billion tickets annually, and the US alone employs about 2.4 million customer service representatives.

Samsung SAIL Montreal Advance Recursion Over Scale
Intelligence: Samsung SAIL Montreal released an open-source Tiny Recursive Model that uses recursion to match or beat far larger systems on reasoning tasks, challenging the idea that bigger models are always better.

TRM has 7 million parameters and uses recursive refinement with deep supervision and adaptive halting, so it iteratively improves answers without forcing early convergence.
Code and training details are available on GitHub and arXiv, which support reproducibility and wider adoption.
On benchmarks, it scored 87 percent on Sudoku Extreme, 85 percent on Maze Hard, and 45 percent on ARC AGI 1 outperforming many larger models and beating a 27 million parameter Hierarchical Reasoning Model on generalization.
The approach trades scale for efficiency, as a 7 million parameter network can run on commodity hardware with lower energy use, while trillion parameter models need costly specialized clusters.
The team positions recursion as an architectural path to efficiency, distinct from pruning and quantization, and it could serve as a reasoning module alongside large language models for broader systems.
Scope is currently narrow, with tests on logic and abstract puzzles rather than open-ended language or perception, and adoption will hinge on how easily others can adapt the method amid rising cost and energy scrutiny.
