Google Unveils Nano Banana Pro

Intelligence: Google introduced Nano Banana Pro, an advanced image generation and editing model built on Gemini 3 Pro, designed to improve reasoning, text rendering, and creative control. The rollout spans consumer, professional, developer, and creative tools, with new watermarking and verification features.

• Model capabilities leverage Gemini 3 reasoning and real-world knowledge to create accurate, context-rich visuals such as explainers, infographics, diagrams, prototypes, and conversions from handwritten notes, with optional real-time data from Google Search.

• Text inside images is significantly improved with better legibility, support for longer passages, multilingual rendering, localization and translation, and richer typography across textures, fonts, and calligraphy.

• High-fidelity creation tools include blending up to 14 images while preserving resemblance for up to 5 people, converting sketches or blueprints into photorealistic 3D outputs, localized edits, camera and focus adjustments, color grading, scene lighting changes, multiple aspect ratios, and 2K and 4K resolution.

• The product lineup offers the original Nano Banana for quick edits and Pro for complex work, available in the Gemini app under Create images with the Thinking model, with limited free quotas and higher quotas for Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra. Also accessible in AI Mode in Search in the U.S. for Pro and Ultra and in NotebookLM globally.

• Slides gains Help Me Visualize powered by Nano Banana Pro, infographic generation using Google Search knowledge, improved image creation, and Beautify This Slide to polish existing content into new visuals.

• NotebookLM now converts source insights into high-quality infographics and can auto-generate complete slide decks shareable as PDFs.

• Google Vids adds precise image generation and editing with multi-turn prompting for iterative refinement, while the Gemini app offers Nano Banana Pro under Create Images using the Thinking model.

• Workspace customers receive promotional higher usage for at least 60 days, with per-user limits to follow; availability is restricted to users over 18.

• Rollout begins November 20, 2025, with gradual visibility over up to 15 days across Rapid Release and Scheduled Release domains
