Microsoft Copilot Adds Document Creation and Email Account Integration

Intelligence: Microsoft is updating Copilot on Windows to create Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF files from chat and to optionally connect to Outlook and Gmail, with the update rolling out to Windows Insiders before a wider Windows 11 release.

• Copilot can generate Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, and PDFs directly from chat prompts, turning ideas and data into shareable, editable files.

• Responses of 600 characters or more include a default export button to send text to Word, PowerPoint, Excel, or PDF.

• Users can opt in to link accounts in the connectors section, including OneDrive, Outlook, Google Drive, Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Contacts, enabling queries like finding invoices or contact details.

• The update is rolling out to all Windows Insiders first, with general availability planned for Windows 11 users.

• Account integrations are similar to the Google Drive and Dropbox connections added to ChatGPT earlier this year.

• A new OneDrive Windows app is planned for next year with a gallery view, AI-powered slideshows, and editing features.

Marc Benioff and Salesforce Launch Agentforce 360 for Enterprise AI

Intelligence: Salesforce unveiled Agentforce 360 ahead of Dreamforce to court enterprises with new agent prompting, builder tools, and deeper Slack integration rolling out over the next year.

• The Agent Script prompting tool enters beta in November, enabling programmable if-then behaviors and using reasoning models from Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google Gemini to improve response consistency for customer questions.

• Agentforce Builder, also in beta in November, offers a single place to build, test, and deploy agents and includes Agentforce Vibes for app vibe coding.

• Expanded Slack integration brings core Salesforce apps like Sales, IT, and HR into Slack starting this month and extending into early 2026, while Slack pilots a more personal Slackbot and plans enterprise search connectors to Gmail, Outlook, and Dropbox in early 2026.

• Salesforce positions Agentforce 360 amid rising enterprise AI competition as Google launches Gemini Enterprise with customers including Figma, Klarna, and Virgin Voyages, and Anthropic expands Claude Enterprise through a Deloitte deal for 500,000 employees and a new partnership with IBM.

• Salesforce reports 12,000 Agentforce customers, with early pilot users of the 360 upgrades including Lennar, Adecco, and Pearson.
