Harvey's New Memory Feature Learns How Individual Lawyers Work
Intelligence: Harvey is rolling out a major platform refresh called Harvey II, built around a Memory capability that tracks how individual lawyers draft, structure, and prefer to work. The update also folds in matter-based Spaces and more context-aware agents, changing how the platform handles ongoing legal work.
Harvey II's Memory feature carries a lawyer's preferences across Harvey, Word, Outlook, and the platform's agents rather than resetting with each session.
Spaces organize documents, tasks, permissions, and history around a single matter or project instead of scattering them across separate tools.
Agents inside Harvey II start each task already loaded with matter context and a lawyer's known preferences, letting them take on more substantive drafting work.
Client-side preferences also feed into Memory, connecting individual matters to Harvey's Shared Spaces used for law firm and client collaboration.
CPO Anique Drumright says Harvey has to protect ethical walls while building Memory, since the system now retains sensitive preference and drafting data across matters.
Drumright frames the result as a compounding effect, telling Artificial Lawyer the platform and its agents get better the more a firm uses them.
