Google Labs Introduces Disco and GenTabs for Web Browsing
Intelligence: Google Labs has launched Disco, an experimental platform featuring GenTabs, an AI-driven tool designed to simplify complex web tasks and reshape how users interact with online information.

Google Labs unveiled Disco as a research and testing platform for future web experiences, inviting users to join a waitlist and provide feedback.
The first feature, GenTabs, uses the Gemini 3 model to help users navigate multiple web tasks by turning open tabs and chat history into interactive, AI-generated web applications.
Users can describe the tool or app they need using natural language, allowing GenTabs to build and refine it automatically without requiring coding skills.
GenTabs connects every generative output back to the original web sources, ensuring transparency and traceability of information.
Early testers are using GenTabs for tasks such as trip planning, meal preparation, and educational projects, showing its flexibility for both personal and professional uses.
Google plans a gradual rollout starting on macOS, gathering tester insights to refine features and determine which ideas could be integrated into future Google products.

Google Expands Translate With Live Speech and AI-Powered Learning Tools
Intelligence: Google has updated Translate with live speech translation for any headphones and introduced AI improvements for both text translation and language practice features.

The update makes live speech translation available beyond Pixel Buds to any headphones, supporting more than 70 languages through the Translate app on Android.
The feature is rolling out in beta across the US, Mexico, and India, with iOS support planned for next year.
Text translation now uses Gemini to better interpret idioms, slang, and context-sensitive phrases, offering more natural results.
Translate’s Practice feature, which tailors language lessons using AI, is expanding to 20 more countries with additional supported languages.
Practice remains in beta and integrates vocabulary drills and comprehension exercises similar to Duolingo.
