Google Turns AI Studio into a Production App Builder with Antigravity and Firebase
Intelligence: Google launched a fully upgraded vibe coding experience in AI Studio powered by the new Antigravity coding agent, enabling users to build production-ready applications with real backends including Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore databases, multiplayer support, external library installation, and a Secrets Manager for API credentials without leaving the coding environment.

The Antigravity agent proactively detects when an app needs a database or authentication and automatically provisions Firebase integrations after user approval, while also identifying and installing the right external libraries like Framer Motion or Shadcn based on what the project requires.
A new Secrets Manager in the Settings tab lets users securely store API credentials for external services like payment processors, Google Maps, and other third-party integrations, turning what was previously a prototype limitation into a production-grade capability.
The agent now maintains a deeper understanding of the entire project structure and full chat history across sessions, enabling faster multi-step code edits from simpler prompts with Next.js support added alongside existing React and Angular options in the updated Settings panel.
The experience has already been used internally to build hundreds of thousands of apps, with planned integrations for Google Workspace including Drive and Sheets, and a one-click path to deploy directly from AI Studio to Google Antigravity.

DoorDash Launches Tasks App to Pay Dashers for AI and Robotics Training Data
Intelligence: DoorDash launched a standalone Tasks app paying its delivery couriers to complete assignments that generate training data for AI and robotic systems including filming everyday tasks, recording multilingual speech, photographing restaurant menus, and capturing hotel entrances with the footage used to evaluate both DoorDash's in-house models and those built by partners across retail, insurance, hospitality, and technology.

The app extends an existing model pioneered by Uber, which announced similar driver-based AI data collection late last year, and builds on DoorDash's existing Waymo partnership where couriers are already paid to close doors of self-driving vehicles.
Pay is shown upfront and determined by effort and complexity, with DoorDash framing Tasks as a flexible earning opportunity for its more than 8 million Dashers who can reach almost anywhere in the US positioning the network as a uniquely scaled capability for digitizing the physical world at a speed and geographic reach no internal team could replicate.
The Tasks app and in-app task listings are currently available in select US markets excluding California, New York City, Seattle, and Colorado, with DoorDash planning to expand into additional task types and international markets as the program scales.
