Google’s Gemini 2.5 Deep Think Mode Launches for AI Ultra Subscribers
Intelligence: Google has started rolling out its advanced "Deep Think" mode for Gemini 2.5, providing AI Ultra subscribers with enhanced problem-solving and reasoning capabilities following its preview at I/O 2025.

Deep Think uses parallel thinking techniques to let Gemini consider and revise multiple ideas simultaneously, leading to more creative and accurate solutions.
The feature grants Gemini extended “thinking time” using novel reinforcement learning, allowing it to explore hypotheses and iteratively reach complex conclusions.
Deep Think now achieves 87.6% on the LiveCodeBench coding benchmark (up from 80.4% in May), signaling significant improvements credited to research breakthroughs and tester feedback.
The mode excels at solving intricate web development and coding tasks, improving both aesthetics and functionality, and is suited for scientific and mathematical problem-solving, such as scoring at a Bronze level on the 2025 International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) benchmark.
Deep Think responses can be much longer and leverage real-time tools including code execution and Google Search; it’s positioned as a practical, day-to-day tool for challenging developmental and research tasks.
Exclusively available to AI Ultra subscribers ($249.99/month in the US) via a new prompt button, Deep Think will soon expand to trusted testers and API partners, targeting broader developer and enterprise applications.

Anthropic Overtakes OpenAI as Top Enterprise AI Model Provider
Intelligence: Anthropic’s AI models have surpassed OpenAI to become the leading choice among enterprises, securing the largest market share in the sector, according to a new report from Menlo Ventures.

Anthropic now controls 32% of enterprise usage for large language models, while OpenAI holds 25%—a dramatic shift from 2023, when OpenAI led with 50% and Anthropic had just 12%.
In the coding segment, Anthropic's market share jumps to 42%, more than double OpenAI's 21%, establishing Anthropic as the clear leader for enterprise coding workloads.
The momentum is credited to the launches of Claude 3.5 Sonnet (June 2024) and Claude 3.7 Sonnet (February 2025), cited as key growth drivers in enterprise adoption.
Google has also seen its enterprise AI usage rise during this period, though the report does not specify exact figures.
Despite these enterprise trends, OpenAI maintains dominance among general consumers, with ChatGPT handling over 2.5 billion prompts per day.
Enterprises overwhelmingly favor closed AI models from providers like Anthropic and OpenAI, with only 13% of daily enterprise workloads using open-source AI in mid-2025 (down from 19% earlier in the year); Meta continues to lead the open-source segment.
