Gemini Unveils On-Device Dexterous AI Model
Intelligence: Google DeepMind has introduced Gemini Robotics On-Device, a lightweight VLA (Vision-Language-Action) model capable of running directly on robots, bringing general-purpose dexterity, low-latency performance, and rapid task adaptation to real-world environments without relying on cloud connectivity.

Source: Google DeepMind
Gemini Robotics On-Device is designed for local deployment on robots, enabling general-purpose dexterity and efficient execution even in offline or low-connectivity settings.
The model excels at highly dexterous tasks like folding clothes or unzipping bags and adapts quickly to new domains with as few as 50 to 100 demonstrations.
Developers can access the Gemini Robotics SDK to fine-tune the model, simulate tasks in MuJoCo, and test it across different physical environments via the trusted tester program.
Gemini Robotics On-Device outperforms previous on-device models in both generalization and multi-step instruction following and has been successfully adapted to various robot types, including Franka and Apollo.
Google emphasizes safety and responsible development, implementing semantic safeguards, safety-critical controllers, and reviews from internal ethics teams before wider release.

11.ai Turns Voice into Action with MCP
Intelligence: ElevenLabs just dropped 11.ai, a voice assistant that uses MCP to connect with apps like Slack and Linear, enabling real-time voice-driven productivity and seamless workflow automation.

Source: ElevenLabs
11.ai (alpha) is a voice assistant from ElevenLabs that goes beyond conversation, using MCP (Model Context Protocol) to take meaningful actions across tools like Linear, Slack, Notion, and Perplexity.
Unlike traditional voice assistants, 11.ai can plan your day, manage tasks, research prospects, and update systems based on voice commands, making it a voice-first productivity agent.
Powered by ElevenLabs Conversational AI, 11.ai delivers ultra-low latency, multimodal interaction, automatic language detection, and RAG-powered context to support dynamic, real-time conversations.
The platform supports both out-of-the-box and custom MCP integrations, allowing companies to connect internal tools securely and control assistant permissions at a granular level.
Users can choose from 5,000+ voices or clone their own, making the assistant feel personal and tailored to their workflow. Access is free during the alpha launch.
