Google Releases Gemini 3.1 Pro with Double the Reasoning of Its Predecessor
Intelligence: Google has released Gemini 3.1 Pro, an upgraded model that more than doubles the reasoning performance of its previous version, now rolling out across consumer apps, developer tools, and enterprise platforms. The model achieved a verified 77.1% score on ARC-AGI-2, a benchmark testing ability to solve new logic patterns.

Gemini 3.1 Pro is now available for developers in preview via the Gemini API, Google AI Studio, Gemini CLI, Google Antigravity, and Android Studio.
Enterprise users can access it through Vertex AI and Gemini Enterprise, while consumers get it via the Gemini app and NotebookLM.
Users on Google AI Pro and Ultra plans receive higher usage limits in the Gemini app, with NotebookLM access exclusive to Pro and Ultra subscribers.
The model builds on November's Gemini 3 Pro release and is designed for complex problem-solving where simple answers aren't sufficient.
Google is releasing 3.1 Pro in preview to validate updates before general availability, with plans to advance agentic workflows further.

Anthropic Opens Claude PowerPoint Extension to Pro Subscribers
Intelligence: Anthropic has expanded access to its Claude in PowerPoint extension, bringing it to Pro subscribers and adding connector integrations that let the AI pull information from linked apps and services. The company is also running a limited-time promotion that doubles usage limits for all paid plans until March 19.
Claude in PowerPoint was initially launched as a research preview for Max, Team, and Enterprise plans following the Claude Opus 4.6 release earlier this month.
The add-in lets users build and refine slides in natural language without switching apps, adapting to existing layouts, themes, and formatting.
Connector support allows Claude to access information from linked tools, giving it more relevant context when generating or updating slides.
The extension can turn bullet points into editable native PowerPoint charts and diagrams, reducing time spent manually building visuals.
