🤝IN PARTNERSHIP WITH CUBE

The accuracy jump that made Brex trust AI with
35,000+ customers

From roughly 55% to nearly 90%, answers good enough to ship.

Everyone wants to put an AI in front of customers; almost no one can make it accurate enough to trust. Cube is the agentic analytics platform built on a semantic layer, the map that grounds an LLM so its answers come back correct, contextual, and governed. Brex built an AI financial analyst for 35,000+ customers on Cube and pushed answer relevance from the high 50s to nearly 90%; as their team put it, the LLM is the engine, the semantic layer is the map.

Microsoft Got a Lot More Independent with Their Own New AI Models

Intelligence: Microsoft just released two new in-house models and a pile of production data suggesting it may not need OpenAI's frontier models nearly as much as everyone assumed, and the numbers behind that claim are hard to ignore.

  • MAI-Image-2.5-Pro targets premium image generation with sharp in-image text rendering, priced at $5 per million text input tokens and $106 per million image output tokens.

  • MAI-Voice-2-Flash runs twice as fast as its predecessor and 32% cheaper, now powering Dynamics 365 Contact Center for customers like T-Mobile and EasyJet.

  • Microsoft's Dragon Copilot, used by 170,000 medical providers, now runs on a Microsoft transcription model showing a 50% drop in error rates across 58 languages.

  • A lightweight Microsoft coding model beat GPT-5.4 Mini and Claude Haiku 4.5 on accept rate in VS Code, then got retrained for Excel and reportedly matched GPT-5.6 there too.

  • Nadella confirmed Microsoft is now routing traffic away from frontier models toward its own whenever they match or beat them, a shift that lands months after Microsoft's exclusive OpenAI license reportedly became non-exclusive.

Databricks Runs Its Own Business on Its Own Product

Intelligence: Microsoft and Databricks just extended their partnership through the 2030s, and the clearest sign of how serious that bet is comes from Databricks itself deciding to run its own business on the very platform it sells.

  • Databricks will run its own core business operations and analytics on Azure Databricks, the same platform it sells to customers.

  • Databricks currently uses Azure Cobalt 100 and plans to move to Cobalt 200, which Microsoft says delivers up to 50% better performance with memory encryption on by default.

  • Databricks Genie and Unity AI Gateway are getting deeper integration across Microsoft Entra, OneLake, Power BI, Microsoft Purview, Power Platform, Microsoft 365, Teams, and Copilot.

  • Thousands of joint customers already run on Azure Databricks, including Banco Bradesco, the Cincinnati Reds, Electrolux, SMBC, and Unilever.
