ENTERPRISE DNA PRESENTS

Hello folks,

History always repeats itself…

Back in the 1990s, you needed coding skills and a statistics degree to do any data analytics - now, there are countless tools like Power BI and Code Interpreter that enable anyone to visualize data

The same is now true for building apps - the no-code revolution means that you can create any productivity apps for your business in minutes, not weeks

We’ve gone through the best no-code app builders, to show you how you can make your business faster with a few steps…

Let’s get right into it…

📕 LEARN SOMETHING
Go from data to app in minutes

Productivity apps are usually powered by data.

The idea here is that if you track anything through an Excel file in your business, chances are you can turn it into an app in minutes.

Let’s say I’m a Product Manager, and I currently track customer tickets through Excel, Google Sheets, or some other data.

These are the different ways I can create apps:

Power Apps is a service by Microsoft to build internal-facing business applications.

After importing in your data, it creates a super quick app for you in minutes where you can add records, modify them, delete them, and more.

Power Apps is very simple to use!

The UI is controlled in a similar way to PowerPoint, and the back-end logic is done using Excel formulas. So, if you know PowerPoint and Excel, you know Power Apps!

In about 30 minutes, I got my app looking like this:

Airtable is your easy-to-use no-code database - but with their new Interfaces feature, you can build apps with your data in minutes.

Let’s go ahead and import our data into Airtable, and then select Interfaces.

We have plenty of templates and pages we can choose from. Let’s create a dashboard that quickly summarizes our data.

Interfaces can be a lot more advanced with more time - here’s one that was made on workstation inventory, where you can add and modify records.

We’ve covered this one before - it works best if your data is already inside Google Sheets.

Let’s import in the data and see what our app looks like.

The one big benefit of AppSheet is its customized actions, which adds superpowers to your apps, like being able to call, send SMS, and much more.

💥 TRENDING TOOL
You can now do text-to-app with Pico

Pico, a pretty new kid-on-the-block creates no-code apps using GPT 🤯.

You have to simply describe the app and answer a few questions about what you want it to do, and Pico codes the app for you in real-time.

The best part? It can create ChatGPT-powered apps (using ChatGPT to create ChatGPT-powered apps… sounds meta, I know)

Here’s an app I made that creates travel itineraries based on where you’re traveling, using ChatGPT.

🙃 SOMETHING FUN
Warning: AI can know your password through your keystrokes

All keystrokes sound the same, don’t they? AI would disagree.

According to this paper, a trained AI can know what you’re typing based on the acoustic sounds that your keystroke makes 🤯.

What does that mean? Hackers can know what you’re typing (passwords, banking information) from your keyboard sounds - so be careful if you’re in an airport, coffee shop, or on a Zoom call where your keyboard is audible.

Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised that in the next few months, people will make apps for Teams, Zoom, and Meet that tell you what the other person is typing. Scary stuff!
