From napkin drawing to full App with Power Apps
If you didn’t already know, Power Apps is a beast. It’s a no-code development platform to build business applications.
We use it at my company to build simple apps that increase efficiency between teams: expense manager app, talent matcher, and much more.
Power Apps itself is super easy to learn (tutorial here) but it got much easier with its Image to App update.
1/ Create Apps from Hand Drawings
Step 1: Open Power Apps, go to Create, and select Image
Step 2: Upload your sketch or hand-drawn photo (should be neat and clear)
Step 3: Correctly apply the tags
Step 4: Your rough sketch / drawing has now been translated to an app!
Try it yourself with Power Apps. It’s lots of fun! You can even turn a Figma into a Power App…
❓ SOMETHING FUN
Conversations in the Metaverse
Honestly, I still don’t exactly know what a Metaverse is, but I was blown away with Lex Friedman’s latest podcast, where he interviewed Mark Zuckerberg with VR.
Lex was in Texas, Mark in California, and both were wearing Meta’s VR headsets - which scanned their faces and relayed any movements to the other headset, which then rendered it.
The result? A real-life hologram/avatar that Lex says is so real that he can’t believe he’s not in the same room as Mark!
