Intelligence: Anthropic is rolling out major updates to Claude for finance teams, including Excel integration, live data connectors, and ready-to-use agent skills to streamline financial workflows across front, middle, and back office operations.

• Claude for Excel enters beta with a sidebar that can read, edit, and explain spreadsheets directly in Microsoft Excel using cell-level references.

• The rollout includes Max Enterprise and Teams, with feedback from 1,000 early users and deeper Microsoft integrations like Office file editing, Microsoft 365 search, and Copilot Studio support.

• New connectors provide live access to earnings calls (Aiera), portfolio tracking (Chronograph), internal data search (Egnyte), market data (LSEG), ratings and company info (Moody’s), global news (MT Newswires), and existing feeds like S&P Capital IQ, Daloopa, Morningstar, and PitchBook.

• Prebuilt agent skills now support tasks like company comparisons, DCF models, due diligence packs, earnings analysis, and coverage reports, available in preview for Max Enterprise and Teams.

Intelligence: Adobe is rolling out new AI assistants for Express and Photoshop, designed to simplify creative tasks and offer more control. The update also includes broader Creative Cloud experiments and integrations.

• Express now includes a prompt-based mode to generate images and designs, with easy switching between assistant and manual editing.

• Photoshop adds a sidebar assistant (in closed beta) that understands layers, selects objects, creates masks, and automates tasks like background removal and color changes.
