Anthropic Launches Claude Code on the Web
Intelligence: Anthropic introduced a beta web version of Claude Code, which runs coding tasks in secure cloud sandboxes, enabling parallel development with GitHub integration and real-time oversight.

Available now as a research preview, with tasks executed on Anthropic-managed cloud infrastructure.
Connect GitHub repositories, describe goals, and Claude implements changes in isolated sessions with real-time progress you can steer.
Run multiple tasks in parallel across different repositories from one interface, with automatic PR creation and clear change summaries.
Designed to complement existing workflows and excel at project Q&A, routine bug fixes and well-defined tasks, and backend changes using test-driven development.
Mobile access via the iOS app is in early preview so developers can explore coding on the go, with rapid iteration planned based on feedback.
Security-focused execution using sandbox isolation with network and file system restrictions, a secure proxy for Git that limits access to authorized repos, and optional domain allowlists for needs like downloading npm packages.
