🤝IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE FDE JOBS BOARD
AI’s Next Bottleneck Is Deployment.
New models are easy to demo.
Making them work inside real customer operations is not.
That is where forward deployed engineers come in: bridging code, customer context, and production outcomes.
The free State of FDE Jobs 2026 report maps the emerging labor market around this work.

ChatGPT's New Cloud Browser Logs Into Real Websites Without Ever Seeing the Password
Intelligence: OpenAI rolled out an update to ChatGPT Work that lets the assistant complete tasks on real websites, from booking flights to rescheduling deliveries, using a cloud browser instead of direct model access. The company says login credentials never reach the model itself, raising the question of how much of the process actually happens out of sight.
The feature runs inside ChatGPT Work, a task management agent built on GPT-5.6 that consolidates workflows for Plus, Pro, and Business accounts.
A remote browser opens a separate secure form for logins, and OpenAI states the model never sees the username or password entered there.
Sign-in attempts pass through a second model trained to flag phishing or deception before access is granted.
People can set website permissions to always ask, auto approve, or always allow inside the cloud browser settings.
ChatGPT pauses before anything hard to reverse, including bookings or payments, and waits for confirmation in the chat.

Gemini's Newest Model Fixes Sentences Before They're Even Finished
Intelligence: Google introduced Gemini 3.5 Transcribe, a speech-to-text model built to handle background noise, jargon, and mid-sentence corrections without losing accuracy. The model already powers voice features across Android and macOS, and now developers can plug it into their own products through two separate APIs.
The model ships through two APIs, one for real-time streaming with sub-second latency and one for pre-recorded audio with speaker attribution and timestamps.
It automatically detects and transcribes more than 85 languages, adapting to regional accents and dialects without manual setup.
Custom vocabulary support lets the model recognize specialized jargon and unique spellings specific to a given use case.
Time to final transcription improves by 70% compared to Google's previous model, Chirp 3.
The model can delegate tasks like image generation and file analysis to other Gemini models mid-transcription through function calling.
Independent testing from Artificial Analysis puts word error rate at 4% for streaming and 2.6% for non-streaming use, a sharp drop from Chirp 3's benchmarks.
