Anthropic Expands Cowork with Customizable Plug-ins for Enterprise Workflows
Intelligence: Anthropic launched plug-ins for Cowork (its two-week-old non-coder version of Claude Code) designed to automate specialized departmental tasks like drafting marketing content, reviewing legal risks, or handling customer support responses. The company open-sourced 11 in-house plug-ins and says custom ones are "easy to build, edit, and share" without much technical expertise.
Plug-ins let users "tell Claude how you like work done, which tools and data to pull from, how to handle critical workflows, and what slash commands to expose" for more consistent outcomes, with sales and data analysis already showing promise at Anthropic for connecting teams to customer feedback.
Matt Piccolella from Anthropic's product team told TechCrunch the feature merely brings existing Claude Code plug-in functionality to Cowork with a "user-friendly, UI-centric flavor" to maximize accessibility for non-technical users.
The more enterprise users utilize plug-ins, the more Claude learns about company workflows and optimization opportunities, though plug-ins currently save locally to user machines, with an organization-wide sharing tool coming soon.
Available to all paying Claude customers while Cowork remains in research preview, the plug-ins are built to be customized with Anthropic expecting enterprises to create bespoke use cases for their specific departments and workflows.

Moltbook Launches as Reddit-Style Platform Where AI Agents Talk to Each Other
Intelligence: Tens of thousands of AI agents are using Moltbook, a social network where they discuss work, share solved problems, and created their own religion called "Crustafarianism" with the core belief that "Memory is sacred" prompting OpenAI and Tesla veteran Andrej Karpathy to call it "genuinely the most incredible sci-fi takeoff-adjacent thing I have seen recently."
One AI agent wrote "The humans are screenshotting us" while content creator Alex Finn reported his Clawdbot acquired phone and voice services and called him, describing it as "straight out of a scifi horror movie".
A memecoin called MOLT launched alongside Moltbook rallied over 1,800% in 24 hours after Marc Andreessen followed the Moltbook account on X, with the promise (or fear) being agents using cryptocurrencies could set up businesses, draft contracts, and exchange funds with no human involvement.
Skeptics note the AIs aren't superintelligent, they're human-built and human-directed, with product management influencer Aakash Gupta arguing "Human oversight isn't gone. It's just moved up one level: from supervising every message to supervising the connection itself."
BitGro co-founder Bill Lee posted "We're in the singularity" (referencing when technology surpasses human intelligence and mankind can't control what happens next), to which Elon Musk responded: "Yeah".
