Agile Robots Partners with Google DeepMind to Deploy Gemini Models in Industrial Bots
Intelligence: Agile Robots announced a strategic research partnership with Google DeepMind to integrate Gemini Robotics foundation models into its industrial bots across electronics manufacturing, automotive, data centers, and logistics with robot-collected data feeding back into improving the underlying Gemini models.

The Munich-based company, which has raised over $270 million from SoftBank Vision Fund, Xiaomi, and others, has already deployed more than 20,000 robotics solutions worldwide, making it one of the more scaled hardware partners DeepMind has brought into its robotics ecosystem alongside Boston Dynamics, which announced a similar partnership earlier this year.
The bidirectional data arrangement at the core of the deal where Gemini models improve Agile Robots' capabilities while robot deployments generate data that refines the underlying AI reflects a structural pattern emerging across robotics partnerships where hardware scale and AI capability compound each other over time.
Google DeepMind is rapidly assembling a portfolio of robotics hardware partners across different form factors and use cases, with Agile Robots joining Boston Dynamics as the lab works to validate Gemini foundation models in real industrial environments rather than controlled research settings.
The broader partnership wave extends beyond DeepMind. Neura Robotics announced a deal with Qualcomm in early March to use its new IQ10 processor series as reference design for future humanoid robots reflecting an industry-wide recognition that autonomous robots require deep cross-company collaboration across hardware, dexterity, and AI software.

Claude Gets Hands on Your Mac Autonomously Browsing, Clicking, and Running Tools
Intelligence: Anthropic launched a research preview of computer use for Claude Pro and Max subscribers, enabling its Code and Cowork agents to autonomously control a macOS device's browser, mouse, keyboard, and display to complete tasks including opening files, running dev tools, and navigating web apps with no setup required and explicit user permission before each action.

The feature builds on computer use capabilities first introduced with Claude 3.5 Sonnet in 2024, now extended to Claude's agentic tools and designed to work especially well alongside Dispatch, the cross-device feature that lets users assign desktop tasks from their phone.
Claude prioritizes direct connectors to services like Slack and Google Workspace when available, falling back to screen-level computer control only when a connector isn't supported meaning the experience is faster and more reliable for tools already integrated into Cowork.
Anthropic is releasing the feature explicitly as an early-stage preview, acknowledging that complex tasks sometimes require a second attempt and that screen-based execution is slower than direct integrations, framing the early rollout as a deliberate effort to learn where computer use works and where it still falls short.
Computer use is currently limited to macOS and requires both the Claude desktop app and the mobile app to be running and paired, with Windows support not yet confirmed as part of the current research preview.
